The small mountain community of Leadville has BIG plans for the future. With the final funds in place to finish the skate park coming from the Department of Local Affairs, the summer of 2014 should see the finishing of the 21,000 square foot skate park, refinishing of the tennis courts and a new Zamboni house!
It’s an exciting time to be here! The recreational master plan for the area is also looking at the the following: Picnic areas, Slackline, ropes course, markings on ice rink for summer games, green house, fitness trail, outdoor education area, walking trail throughout park, historical signage, observation tower, climbing wall, enhanced bike park, central plaza, playground, fire pit, bench seating, community events, terraced seating by the ice rink, promenade, other types of viewing platforms, etc. These recreational ideas are in addition to the already stunning array of things to do such as rafting, fishing, hiking, camping, biking, boating, etc! AND we have the incredible mineral belt trail which is an 11.6 mile all season, non-motorized recreation path that circles the city!
Housing is still fairly valued and the community has just passed a school bond! Contact me to discuss why you should consider Leadville as a place to call home!
